A 17-year-old has been sentenced to 68 years in prison by the Blue Downs Magistrate’s Court in Cape Town on Tuesday, for two murders and a shooting spree. The teenager was 16 years old when he shot and killed two people last year.

The first incident was in Kraaifontein in February 2021, where he opened fire on the victim who was standing in a yard with friends. The second took place four months later, while he was out on bail, when he shot dead a rival gang member in the street.
